MECSware - The Campus Network Company

MECSware GmbH has been founded in 2015 as a spin-off from the Nokia Networks R&D Center Dusseldorf, Germany.
MECSware develops and supplies easy-to-deploy and easy-to-operate 4G/5G system solutions for private mobile networks (campus networks). A MECSware campusXG® network can be fully controlled by the user. That way MECSware supports business critical applications and assists customers on their path to automation and digitization.
MECSware is actively engaged in several research projects sponsored by Germany's Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on the application of 5G.
Based on the cooperation with its investor Sercomm Deutschland GmbH, MECSware is a globally oriented company. MECSware’s customer base includes enterprises, system integrators and research institutes.

Dr. Ing. Torsten Musiol – Founder and CEO
Torsten is a pioneer of LTE and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) technology. Before founding MECSware, Torsten headed the Technical Product Management of LTE Transport at Nokia Networks and the award-winning Nokia Liquid Applications platform, the world's first MEC product.
Torsten studied Information Technology at the TU Dresden, Germany. He has 25 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications industry as Engineering Manager, Chief Architect, Manager Sales Support and Product Line Manager.
Torsten is co-author of the book „LTE for UMTS”, John Wiley & Sons, and holds more than 10 patents in the field of telecommunications.

Mallanna Bhimaraya Narsanaik, B.E. (CS) – Lead Software Architect
Mallanna has vast experience in the design of embedded systems, virtualization technologies, IP networking, edge computing and distributed computing.  Before joining MECSware, Mallanna held senior positions in Wipro, Windriver, Nokia Networks and Vorwerk in the field of software design and development. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University BDT college of Engineering, Davanagere, India. Mallanna joined MECSware in 2015 and re-joined in 2018.

Dipl.-Ing. Achim Reidelstürz – Senior Software Engineer
Achim is continuously developing the MECSware campusXG software platform further and adapting it to upcoming customer needs in an agile environment. Previously, Achim was developing Transport Solutions for Nokia Networks by designing ASICs and utilizing state of the art network processors. As Engineering Manager and Project Manager he has lead various development teams. He was also driving the transformation towards agile methods as Scrum Master. In parallel Achim was exploring new business opportunities in the area of digital radio broadcast. Achim joined MECSware in 2018.

Dipl.-Ing. Michael Mader - Solution Architect
Michael is responsible for software acceptance testing, project integration and customer support . In addition, he designs most of the MECS Apps and maintains the lab.
Michael has 35 years of experience in information and telecommunication technology. Before joining MECSware, Michael was working for Nokia Networks, responsible for pre-sales support, software integration and customer acceptance tests of virtualization projects.
Michael joined MECSware in 2019.

Dr.-Ing. Gereon Führ – Solution Architect
Gereon studied Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering for a bachelor’s and master's degree at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, from 2009 to 2014. In 2021 he received a PhD from the Institute of Communication Technology and Embedded Systems (ICE) at the RWTH Aachen University. His focus of work was the design and verification of models for estimating the power consumption of Multi-Processor System-of-Chip (MPSoCs). Based on these estimates, algorithms had to be developed to minimize the power consumption of MPSoC components while ensuring high performance. His experience in telecommunications technology was mainly influenced by an industrial internship at Intel Mobile Communications.  Gereon joined MECSware in 2020.
